DGP orders an inquiry into SRP assault on referee

AHMEDABAD, May 13: An inquiry has been ordered by Director-General of Police C P Singh into the incident in which the secretary of the Ahmedabad District Football Association Philip Job was beaten up by members of the SRP Group-II team on May 4 at the St Xavier8217;s College ground in the opening match of the Senior Division Leagues.

Singh has entrusted the inquiry to F M Guard DIG armed units and asked him to submit the report in 15 days.

Meanwhile, Job has also written a letter to the Commandent of SRP Group-II.
