Deviation from kathak

For two years she worked towards her goal opting for extra classes to learn the technique of ballet, flamenco and modern dance. She completed her pre-professional training with an emphasis on choreography during these two years she appeared in over ten stage productions as a choreographer and dancer, at times even going solo.

She beautifully managed the change over from Kathak dance to the entirely different movements of ballet or even flamenco. Basically, the exposure to different dance styles broadens your perspective. Modern dance is a very open form. It allows a more liberated expression of your creativity. There is no tradition carried over from the pioneers of modern dance like Isadora Duncan and Louis Fuller.
