CHENNAI, July 19:The desalination plant being set up at Narippaiyur in Ramanathapuram district is to start functioning by October. The plant would supply 15 litres of water to cater to the needs of about 296 villages in Kadaldi, Kamudi and Muthukulathur panchyat unions.
