CHANDIGARH, May 23: Excellent bowling by Ranjit Singh 5 for 16, including hat-trick enabled Chetna Cricket Club beat CNS XI by 29 runs in the third Chandigarh league cum-knock-out cricket tournament played at Punjab Engineering College here today.

Batting first Chetna CC scored 83 runs in 19.4 overs. Dinesh Mongia 33 was the only batsman to score in double figure for the team.

Manu Bedi got four while Vivek Jain took three wickets.

In reply CNS XI batsmen were restricted by Ranjit Singh, who got five wickets. CNS XI were bundled out for 54 runs in 19.4 overs. Dinesh and Harpreet also took two wickets.

The match between Fighter CC and Tari CC was abandon due to inclement weather.

In another match played at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, Prudential CC defeat Godrej CC by two wickets.
