
Ailing Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi was on Monday shifted to the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS, as doctors and his family felt that his neurological condition could be better treated at Apollo. According to hospital authorities, the request to shift the patient came from the family. 8220;He was shifted from AIIMS at 10.30 am on Monday. His family wanted to shift him for further treatment of his neurological condition. His condition is stable, but he needs supportive treatment and neurological care,8221; said AIIMS Medical Superintendent Dr D K Sharma.
Dasmunsi 62 was under treatment at AIIMS for the past eight days after a massive cardiac arrest. He continued to remain the stable. Meanwhile, Johns Hopkins University Hospital neurologist Den Henley, who is here to examine Dasmunsi, had earlier an informal discussion about the minister8217;s health with the multi-discipline team of doctors treating him.
