CPI to support Mullana for Ambala Lok Sabha seat
Ambala: The local unit of the Communist Party of India will support Congress candidate Phool Chand Mullana in the Lok Sabha election in this constituency. A meeting held under the chairmanship of state party secretary Harnam Singh, here on Tuesday, unanimously resolved to work and vote for the Congress candidate to ensure the defeat of BJP candidate Rattan Lal Kataria.

Behl is president of Lions Club, Patiala

Lion Rakesh Singh Behl has been elected president of the Lions Club, Patiala Moti Bagh. The other newly elected office bearers are Lion Vikram Raj Singh Chauhan secretary, Lion Bhagwan Singh treasurer and Lion G.P. Singh P.R.O. The members took oath at a joint installation ceremony, Abhishek 8217;99, held at the State College of education, here on Tuesday. District Governor Paramjit Kohli was the chief guest.

80 persons donate blood at camp
Parwanoo: The Blood Donors Society of Parwanoo organised their 12th blood donation camp here today. About 80 persons donated blood at the camp. Dr Usha Roy, along with a team of 11 members, conducted the camp, which was sponsored by Capt Thakur, owner of Hotel Windsmoor.
