PANCHKULA, April 23: A cyclist was killed on April 21 when he was hit by a scooterist who was driving at high speed. At 8 a.m. in the evening, the scooterist, Ashwani Kumar, a resident of Sector 12, rammed into Mangat Ram, a resident of Sector 4, killing him.Superintendent of Police Alok Mittal said a case had been registered against the scooterist.
Lecturers relieved
Panjab University today relieved two persons from the post of lecturer in the Department of Physical Education. This follows the publication of a news item in Newsline which revealed that the two were working as lecturers at the University though their selections had been rejected by the senate nearly a month ago.
