
NEW DELHI, January 28: Delhi Customs beat M.B.S. XI 5-2 in the Delhi Hockey Championship at Shivaji Stadium. The winners led 2-1 at the breather. Jaspreet Singh scored the first goal for MBS XI in the 15th minute. Customs8217; inside-left Ajay Shastri scored the equaliser in the 17th minute. Harjinder Singh scored the second goal for Customs in the 25th minute.
Davinder Grewal of MBS XI scored the second goal in the 40th minute for his team. Suresh of Customs scored the third goal in the 45th minute and Jasminder Singh scored the fourth goal in 53rd minute for Customs. Surinder Singh scored the fifth goal in the 56th minute.
Dogra Regiment defeated Delhi Audit 13-12 goals via tie-breaker. In the regulation period, the teams were locked 2-2. For Audit, Amit Sharma scored the both goals in the sixth and 48th minute. For Dogra Regiment, Asok and Tarlok Singh scored the goal in the 13th and 35th minutes, respectively.
F.C.I. N.Z. beat Independents Club 4-1. The winners led 4-0 at half-time. Navbir Singh scored the first and second goals in the 10th and 14th minutes. The third goal was scored by Sandeep and Kuldeep scored the fourth goal for FCI in the 28th minute. Balwant of Independent scored the lone goal in the 41st minute.
