Residential theatres are all set to grip the movie buffs who like to customise movie 8212; viewing their way
No movie can be missed here because of petty pardons like the houseful shows or the inconvenient show timings. Decide your movie, your seat and possess the remote control and yet feel the multiplex as the egression of residential theatres is penetrating the Indian houses in the classiest way. These contemporary theatres resemble the multiplex ones in all technicalities except a few like the space and have been pioneered by Himanshu Kumar.
Kumar has designed a theatre for Philips India in the city, based on premium sound solutions to be used for conferences and company screenings. Presently working on Sanjay Patil8217;s home theatre in Kolhapur, Kumar adds, 8220;Internationally we have also done projects for the King of Bhutan, the Indian odyssey in Tashkant and for a villa in London that belongs to an Indian Tycoon.8221;
Having started for the first time in 1990 in Ahmedabad, Kumar converted a basement of a bungalow into a theatre. 8220;It took me seven months to complete that set. Now we execute a theatre in a span of three weeks. The second one happened after a gap of two years but the demand has risen gradually, we have done almost 180 theatres over the years. It takes me three weeks to accomplish the whole process however we leave up to the clients to decide their gadget brands such as the sound system and the projectors,8221; adds Kumar.
Another interesting feature of theatres is the automation on the remote control or a touch screen remote panel. The design is implemented so as to correspond the switching on of the DVD to the luminosity in the room. The lights automatically go off once the screen is off. Elaborating Kumar says, 8220;In addition to the sound quality, the right sight lines are very important. To get a feel of a dedicated home theatre the minimum size of a room should be 12 feet by 20 feet and the entire process requires my personal attention since everything differs from the seating arrangement to the size preferences and so on. The minimum budget has to be Rs 15 lakh and I have recently made one which went up to more than a crore.8221; Priceless entertainment indeed!
