With the Nagpur Test ending in a draw, all eyes will now turn to Mohali, and the kind of wicket that will be prepared for the second Test which begins at the PCA Stadium on Thursday.

Not willing to comment on the nature of the wicket which is in its preparatory stage, PCA curator Daljit Singh said: 8220;Nothing can be stated right now. Details about the pitch can be known after two to three days.8221; Singh says that weather permitting they are aiming at a regular Mohali pitch without divulging any more details. The pitch used to help the seamers as it provided swing and bounce. Later on it became more of a batsmen8217;s paradise with the pitch slowing gradually as the days progressed during Tests.

Keeping in view the performance of England bowlers at Nagpur where they extracted considerable pace and tormented the Indian batsmen with reverse swing, everyone including the BCCI would be hoping to have a wicket that is not so green. Even if the wicket is sans grass, batsmen will still have a tough time battling swing and bounce in the first session due to early morning moisture.
