Four arrested
The Makarpura on Wednesday arrested four people for assaulting one Jadiasinh Charansinh Sikligar opposite Jupiter company in GIDC Makarpura area on Tuesday evening. The arrested have been identified as Birsinh Jagsinh, Ajitsinh Motisinh, Deepaksinh and Gopalsinh. According to the police, as the complainant, a resident of Warasia ESI dispensary area, was a witness in a murder case pending against the accused, they wanted him to withdraw himself from the case. Hence, the assault, the police added.

Case registered
Two men, Rameshchandra Gafar Godaria and Jagdish Ramesh Waghri, entered one one Ramanbhai Chimanbhai Godaria house in Godariawas mohalla in Navapura area on Tuesday afternoon in an inebriated state and damaged a TV and other household goods, the Navapura police said. The police have registered a case against the accused and are investigating.

Two thefts
In different cases of house-breaks reported in various areas of the city, cash and goods worth Rs 1,62,412 were stolen from two places on Tuesday night. While a cash of Rs 1.30 lakh and gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 29,000 were stolen from the premises of Haribhai and Sons in Pratapgunj area, a microphone and an amplifier along with some wires worth Rs 3,000 was stolen from the office of the Primary School in village Karchiya under Jawaharnagar Police Station. Bag stolen
Miscreants stole a suitcase containing Rs 14,600 in cash and a camera worth Rs 700 from a ST bus at the ST Depot here on Tuesday. According to the Fatehgunj police, the bag belonged to one Pradeepkumar Keshavlal Polani, a resident of Rajkot.
