
Robbed
One dipaben Arjunsinh, a resident of Pratiksha Colony, adjoining Jalaram temple in Karelibaug, was robbed of gold jewellery including a chain and four bangles worth Rs 40,000 by Tersinh, a resident of Limdi in Dahod district, on Monday. According to the police, Dipaben was alone in her house at around 1 pm when the criminal barged in, assaulted her and fled with the jewelleries she was wearing. The Karelibaug police has registered a case and has begun investigations.
Houses burgled
In two cases of house-break reported on Monday night, cash and goods worth Rs 7,600 were stolen from different areas of the city. According to police, cash and silver jewelleries amounting to Rs 3,600 were stolen from a house on Dabhoi Road under Panigate Police Station, while Rs 4,000 in cash was stolen from the Sudama Store in Warasia Colony, under the City Police Station. Another person, Ashwinkumar Gurudevchand Sardar, was caught while allegedly trying to break-in Mahesh Electronics at Vrindavan Society in village Ranoli under Jawahar Nagar Police Station. He was handed over to the police by the residents. Police is investigating the cases.
