Assaulted
The Sayajigunj police arrested a youth for assaulting a woman and her husband in their house in Sharad Apartment on Monday. According to the police, Sujit Jivan Krishna, residing at Lohana Boarding, made indecent overtures to Vijay Shah8217;s wife. Shah objected to his behaviour and asked him to mend his ways. Angered by his objection, Krishna barged into Shah8217;s house and assaulted his wife with a knife. He was, however, overpowered by Shah, and handed over to the police.

Case registered
Chandrikaben Manoj Kumar Sharma, a resident of Jai Ambe Nagar on Waghodia Road, complained to the police that a suspended constable Nagin Zaveri misbehaved and passed lewd remarks on her. While she went out for walk on Sunday evening. The Panigate police station have registered a case and are investigating.

Arrested
The Karelibaug police on Monday arrested one Deepak Verma allegedly involved in a number of house-breaking cases in the city. The police said that the accused was arrested by a night patrol party in Sardar Bhawan. During interrogations, he admitted having burgled a medical store in Salatwada, the police said.
