Woman ends life in Sachin
Surat: One Anjum Yusu Qureshi 22, a married woman residing at A/4 Wasimnagar in the Bhindi Bazaar area of Sachin, committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of her house on Monday morning. The reason for the extreme step has still not been ascertained, the Sachin police said, adding a case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been registered in the police station.

Electrocuted
One Jaya Ramesh Patel 15, a resident of Bardoli town died in the Sardar Hospital at Bardoli on Sunday night, a few hours after live electric wires fell on her, the police said. According to a case registered in the police station, Jaya was walking on Alankar Road in the town when the overhead electric wires broke and fell on her.

Body recovered
The Sachin police recovered the body of an unidentified 40-year-old person from opposite Ramji Mandir, Sachin. The police sent the body to the New Civil Hospital for a post mortem after registering a case.

Snake bite

One Shivaji Limji Gamit 50, a manual labourer residing at Kikakui village of Songadh taluka, died on Monday in the Vyara Refrall hospital, where he was admitted after being bitten by a poisonous snake. According to the Songadh police, Gamit was cutting grass in a field when the serpent bit him on Sunday. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered.

Bag stolen
Vadodara: One Jagdish Trivedi, a resident of Ahmedabad, has complained to the police here that his briefcase containing Rs 43,000 in cash was stolen by unidentified persons from the Halol platform of the ST bus stand here Sunday night. According to Trivedi, he had put down his briefcase and walked a few steps ahead to purchase eatables, when it was stolen. A case has been registered in the Sayajigunj Police Station.
