Scooterist run over
Jitu Jagjivan Patel, a scooterist, was killed on the spot after a tractor driver, while driving recklessly, rammed into his scooter GH5 B 7194 on the causeway road today morning. A case registered in the Chowk Bazaar police station said that Patel, a Navu Falia Singanpore resident, died on the spot at 10:30 am near a heap of garbage on the roadside. The police have registered a case against the driver, who fled the scene immediately afterwards.
Electrocuted
Vasanti Kishore Pinjawa 23, a married woman residing at Bunglow no 1, Bhagirathnagar, Varachha, died of electrocution a few hours after she was hospitalsed. A case registered in the Varachha police station said that she was in her house when she touched a live wire and fainted. She was brought to the Ashaktashram hospital by a relative, the police said.
Fatal fall
A 15-year-old boy who accidentally fell off from the third floor of a building a week ago died in the Ashaktashram hospital late on Wednesday night. Dinesh Ramsharan Verma fell off from the balcony of his house located on the third floor of plot no 31, Ghanshyamnagar-Dabholi Road, on October 7 night, the Katargam police stated. He was since being treated at the Ashaktashram hospital for head and body injuries. A case under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered.
Housebreak
Gold ornaments and cash amounting to Rs 60,000 have been reported stolen from a house in Saiyyedpura during the night hours. Deepak Babu Mehta of SMC Staff Quarters, Nagoriwaad, Saiyyedpura lodged a complaint in the Chowk Bazaar police station, stating that unidentified persons broke open his locked house and decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 56,000 and Rs 4,300 cash kept in a safe in the bedroom.
