Scooterists injured, hospitalised
Balbir Singh, a resident of Sector 19, reported to the police that he was injured and admitted to the General Hospital in Sector 16 after his scooter was hit by a car in Sector 26. While, in another hit and run case, scooterist Babu Ram and his pillion Naresh Kumar were injured and admitted to the PGI after they were hit by a car at the traffic lights connecting Sectors 17 and 18. Cases have been registered.

Man held for housebreaking
The city police have arrested Manmohan Bakshi, a resident of Modern Housing Complex in Mani Majra, on the charges of cheating and housebreaking by night.

Security guard held for theft
The Sector 34 police have arrested Mam Bahadur, a security guard working at the Piccadily cinema in Sector 34 on the charges of stealing Rs 35,000 from the cash box. Earlier a case had been registered on the complaint of the cinema hall manager Ashwini Malhotra, it was added.
