Moped hit by bus, 1 injured
Sangeeta, a Sector 38 resident, has complained that her moped was hit by a Himachal Roadways bus, HP-12-4090, at the intersection of Sector 16, 17, 22 and 23. She has been admitted to the PGI. The driver of the bus, Kalyan Singh, has been arrested and a case has been registered against him. The police have impounded the bus and are investigating the matter.

Maruti rams into pedestrian
A Maruti Zen, CH-01-V-8328, reportedly hit a pedestrian, Sukhwant Kaur, a resident of Phase XI, Mohali, on the Sector 31 and 32 dividing road, seriously injuring her, today. The victim has been admitted to the PGI. The driver of the car, however, fled the scene, leaving behind his car. The police have impounded the car and registered a case.

Scooter theft
Sector-39 resident, Mukhtiar Singh has reported theft of his Bajaj Chetak, CH-01-E-0234, from his residence on the night of October 6 and 7. A case has been registered and investigations are on.

Canter stolen
Village Bilongi district Ropar resident, Inderjit Singh, has reported theft of his canter, HR-05-0452, from Mauli Jagran Colony during the night of October 6 and 7. The police have registered a caseand are investigating into the matter.
