Two held for carrying liquor
Vijay Kumar, a resident of Sector 29, was arrested from the traffic lights on the road dividing Sectors 29 and 30, and 12 bottles of IMFL reportedly recovered from his possession. Meanwhile Geeta, a resident of Maloya Colony, has been arrested from near her house. The police claim to have recovered 40 pouches of country made liquor from her possession. Separate cases have been registered under the Excise Act.

Dowry harassment case registered
Sunita Rani of Sector 7, complained to the police that she was being harassed for dowry by her huasband Rajesh Kumar, mother-in-law Sheila Devi and father-in-law Kishan Lal, all residents of Sector 41. The police have registered a case.

Two motorcycles stolen
Ashok Kumar Verma of the Dadu Majra Colony, complained to the police that his motorcycle CH01J 6575, was stolen from the Nehru Park in Sector 22. In another case Atul Dahiya, a resicdent of Sector 32, reported that his motorcycle CH01M 1552 was stolen from his residence. A case has been registered.

Girl kidnapped
A resident of Colony number 4, here, reported to the police that his 13-year-old daughter, was kidnapped by Lal Mohammed of the same Colony. A case has been registered.

Man assaulted
Pawan Singh, president of the local GGDSD College Union was reportedly attacked by Harbir Singh and Tejinder Singh and some other youths allegedly using sharp-edged weapons. The police have registered a case of rioting, assault and criminal intimidation.

Gas cylinder stolen
Chugan Yadav, a resident of the Radha Swami Bhawan in Sector 35, that a gas cylinder was stolen from the Bhawan. A case has been registered.
