Embattled Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds has been urged to seek a psychologist8217;s help as he deals with the uncertainty surrounding his international career and a bitter fallout with team mates.
Symonds was sent home after he skipped a mandatory team meeting for fishing on Friday. He is certain to sit out of the upcoming tour of India in October.
The flamboyant all-rounder has also reportedly fallen out with his senior team mates, including Michael Clarke.
8220;It is understood the cricketer has been asked to go on a rehabilitation programme, overseen by Cricket Australia medical staff, in which he would see counselors about his state of mind,8221; The Daily Telegraph reported.
Meanwhile, team mate Shane Watson has urged Symonds not to give up the baggy green for the IPL8217;s lure. 8220;I hope that8217;s not the way he goes. It would be a waste, because he8217;s an amazingly talented player.8221;
