This Hindi effort features Randhir Kapoor as the chauvinistic boss of lady employees like Seema Biswas, Shilpa Shirodkar and Heera Rajgopalan. And there8217;s producer Kamal Haasan as a corpse!
Abbas-Mastan8217;s Ajnabi: Here8217;s a bold one. A remake of the Kevin Spacey-Kevin Kline thriller Consenting Adults, a film about wife swapping and crime, this desi drama has Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu in pivotal parts.
David Dhawan8217;s Kunwara: This Govinda-Urmila Matondkar starrer has been inspired by the Keanu Reeves-romance, A Walk In The Clouds. This Hindi version which has been in the making for over two years now, is gearing up for a mid-2000 release.
Sanjay Gupta8217;s Jung: Featuring Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff, this one8217;s a direct take-off from the Michael Keaton-Andy Garcia starrer Desperate Measures, a story about a cop who must convince a dreaded criminal into donating his bone marrow to the cop8217;s ailing son.
David Dhawan8217;s untitled film for Jeetendra: Produced by yesteryear8217;s Jumping Jack Jeetendra, this Govinda-Sushmita Sen laugh-riot is actually DD8217;s version of the Jim Carrey comedy, Liar Liar, which David Dhawan was earlier scheduled to direct with Shah Rukh Khan and Karisma Kapoor for the Moranis.
Sanjay Gupta8217;s Kaante: This recently announced thriller featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Aditya Panscholi, Manoj Bajpai and Kumar Gaurav is the film-maker8217;s attempt to Indianise Quentin Tarantino8217;s debut directing effort, Reservoir Dogs, which itself had been lifted from the Hong Kong Chinese film, City On Fire.
