CHANDIGARH, Oct 14: Controversy and indiscipline marred the Chandigarh State Inter-School basketball tournament at the Shivalik Public School-41, today.

In the semifinal match today, between hosts SPS-41 and DAV Public School-15, the latter staged a walkout when supporters of SPS-41 allegedly used abusive language against players and officials of DAV Public School-15. SPS-41 were leading by four points at that stage (28-24). The officials of the DAVP-15 raised an objection and later lodged a written protest to Principal DS Bedi, who is also the convenor of the meet. The convenor, however, was not available for his comments.

Karan Singh, principal of GMS-33 and sports secretary, admitted that he had received a complaint from the officials of the DAV-15. But no decision has taken so far.
