Congress working on another sting: Amar

Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh today accused the Congress party and its chief Sonia Gandhi of masterminding yet another sting operation against him and his party colleagues Akilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav.

Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh today accused the Congress party and its chief Sonia Gandhi of masterminding yet another sting operation against him and his party colleagues Akilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav.

8216;8216;Ever since the SP came to power in UP, the Congress has used every attempt to destabilise the Mulayam Singh Yadav government. I now have ample proof that Sonia Gandhi has deployed elements to trap us.8217;8217;

Singh did not divulge who these 8216;elements8217; were, but alleged that even his lawyers were approached by these 8216;operators,8217; who were 8216;8216;equipped with hidden cameras in laptops8217;8217;. 8216;8216;The Congress has deployed Tehelka for a sting operation against me. My lawyers have been asked whether we have been involved in any deals.8217;8217;

On the Office-of-Profit Bill, Singh said the President8217;s opinion must be respected, though he would like to see the Bill made into a law. Singh said he too wanted the offices of profit to be clearly defined.
