The Gujarat State level committee of the Congress should draw a lesson from the verdict in the Assembly polls and work for strengthening the party for future challenges, Puducherry PCC president P.Shanmugham said on Monday.
On Monday, he said that elections would normally be a ding dong battle and a party might win or lose in the battle. But 8220;proper approach8221; was necesssary and he felt that this was absent at the local unit level of the Congress in Gujarat.
He said it was not correct to fault the policies of the Congress as a whole but the local unit had the responsibility of 8220;making out a proper approach,8221; he said.
