
The Congress party has said former external affairs minister Natwar Singh8217;s outburst against party chief Sonia Gandhi 8212; for her comments that she felt betrayed by Singh in the light of the Volcker and Pathak committee reports 8212; only confirmed his sense of guilt and that he had never been committed to the party.
Following the comments by Sonia in a television interview, the former external affairs minister hit out at the Congress president and questioned her foreign origin. 8220;This shows that all these past years he had no ideological commitment to the party or its leadership and was only concerned with the loaves and fishes of office,8221; party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said. 8220;He has lost his balance,8221; Singhvi said.
Singhvi also said the party would decide on him in its own time.
