The Bangalore police have seized a computer from the city that may provide them with vital links to the July 25 serial blasts in Bangalore. The seizure was made when the police visited Pune on Thursday with Mohammed Samee Bagewadi alias Abdul Samee, a prime accused in the Bangalore serial blasts.

8220;Samee used to visit Pune quite frequently as he was working on a project of an architectural firm in the city. We have seized Samee8217;s computer and the hard disk has been sent for forensic tests,8221; Gopal Hoshur, Joint Commissioner of Police Crime, told The Indian Express from Bangalore. nbsp;nbsp;

Samee was later taken to Bijapur where the police seized a few CDs and a motorcycle that he had got from SIMI activists Adnan alias Hafeez Hussain Mulla, Raziuddin Nasir, Asadulla in January 2008. Police said the motorcycle was stolen from Hubli in December 2007 and a complaint was lodged at Hubli suburban police station. The motorcycle was used for carrying out blasts in Goa and Karnataka, police said.

Samee, a native of Bijapur, was arrested on September 25. During interrogations he told the police about his association with SIMI and Indian Mujahideen leaders such as Safdar Nagori, Adnan, Tauqeer, Abu Bashar and others. He mentioned that he had attended camps organised by SIMI at Castle Rock near Hubli, Vagamon in Kerala and Karnataka where decisions were made to carry out terrorist attacks and take revenge against those responsible for demolition of Babri Masjid and Godhra riots.

Interrogations also revealed that Samee was in Pune to train SIMI members. Police have been investigating Samee8217;s links with Dr Mohammed Salim Honali of Bijapur, a former dental professor at M A Rangoonwala College in Pune, who was arrested in connection with the Ahmedabad blasts.
