Commemoration Day observed

PUNE, Oct 21: Police Commemoration Day was observed at the Police Parade Ground at Shivajinagar to pay tributes to policemen who lost their lives in various actions last year. A total of 115 police officers and 872 policemen from all over the country, gave their lives in various operations last year while two police officers and 14 other policemen were from the State.

A commemoration parade was held on the occasion. former director general of police V K Saraf, city police commissioner K K Kashyap, additional police commissioner S Maheshgauri laid wreaths at the police memorial.
