
MUMBAI, Dec 27: Over 1,000 poor Kashmiris have taken refuge in this metropolis to escape from severe cold in their home state and are struggling for subsistence without adequate facilities in ordinary make-shift tents.
The group which migrated here about 10 days ago from Anantnag, Kupwara and Kulgaon regions, have taken shelter in Mahim and Kurla here and are living in sub-standard conditions.They are currently dependent on the relief and donations from locals. The group, mostly of Muslims comprising of old and young, men and women and infants, intends to stay here till the end of January.
