Civic official slapped, 1 held

Mumbai, June 11: A 38-year-old woman was arrested on charges of slapping a civic engineer at Kurla east on Friday.

Kamrunnissa Mohammed Yakub Sheikh had come to meet sub-engineer Rajendra Sahdev Sonawane in the water department of L8217; ward seeking to know why water supply to the Neel Kamal building was cut since Wednesday. Even as Sonawane was explaining it was cut because the supply was illegal, she struck him on his face, informed PSI S Jadhav of Kurla police station.
