CHANDIGARH, JULY 13: A city school girl, Sunaina Singh, has won a silver medal in 50 meters free style swimming at the World Special Olympics 1999, held in North Carolina.

Daughter of an Army officer presently posted here, Sunaina also secured fourth position in the 100 metres relay and fifth position in 100 metres free style.

Studying in Class IV, she had left for the United States of America in June and returned here on July 11. World Special Olympics are organised for mentally retarded children.
