Chota Shakeel gangster killed

MUMBAI, MARCH 18: Chota Shakeel gang member Nasir Hussain Shaikh alias Nasir Tukde, who was involved in over ten dacoity cases, was shot dead in an encounter at Worli Seaface on Thursday evening.

Acting on a tip-off that Nasir would be meeting his associates near Worli Firing Range at 7.30 pm today, police laid a trap there. Nasir came in a motorcycle with his associate and the police asked him to surrender.

Instead, he fired at the police and they fired back in retaliation. Nasir was injured and admitted to Podar Hospital where he was declared dead on admission.His associate managed to escape.
