HONG KONG, May 23: China won the Uber Cup women’s team badminton championship when they took an unbeatable 3-0 lead over defending champions Indonesia in the final today.

World champion Ye Zhaoying beat former world number one Susi Susanti 11-9, 10-12, 11-5 in the first match.

Fei and Gu Jun made it 2-0 with a 15-7, 15-1 win over Rosiana Zelin and Indarti Isoliana in the doubles.

Gong Zhichao clinched the title for China in the best-of-five-match final with a 9-11, 12-10, 11-4 win over Mia Audina.
