For Bhawna Balsaver, it was a journey back to her school days on her new show on Star One, Paani Puri. Balsaver is portraying a character called Veena Paani and what is weird is that she had a teacher in school who was also called Veena Paani. And the coincidences don8217;t end there. Apparently, just like her old teacher, Balsaver8217;s character is also obsessive about cleanliness. Talk about a blast from the past.

Career switch
The coincidences never end in the world of television. Aastha Chaudhary, the lead actress on Babul ka Aangann Chootey Na, is an engineer by qualification. So is the latest entrant on the show8212;model-turned-actor Abhinav Shukla. The actor, who plays Aastha8217;s college buddy Ratan in a month-long cameo, too possesses an engineer degree. Shukla8217;s run on the show may get extended. The 24-year old has an impressive portfolio from his modeling days8212; he8217;s modeled for high-profile brands like TagHeuer, Peter England and Van Heusen..

Long lost love?
Another new entrant on another popular show is Faisal Raza on Kumkum. Raza will be playing the role of Sarjan Singh, a Jat, who is Kumkum8217;s father8217;s friend. Sarjan8217;s marriage had been arranged with Kumkum, when they were both children and he returns years later to claim her. Kumkum on her part has to continue pretending to be Sumeet8217;s wife, so as to avoid the uncouth Sarjan. A complicated set of circumstances, indeed.
