JODHPUR, MAY 24: Police today filed two chargesheets in a court here against top Bollywood star Salman Khan and others for allegedly poaching protected blackbucks near here last year.

The chargesheets, containing charges under Sections 147, 148, 149 and 201 of the IPC and Sections 9, 39, 51 and 52 of the Arms Act and pertaining to the alleged killing of the blackbucks near Mathania village, were filed in the court of additional civil judge and judicial magistrate Pramod Kumar Vashisht.

The other accused in the chargesheets are local people mostly related to the tourism trade. The prosecution case relies on the statement of one Harish who reported during interrogation that on September 28 last year, the main accused Khan shot black bucks on the outskirts of Mathania near a stud farm, while on a shooting schedule of Sooraj Barjatya8217;s upcoming film Hum Saath Saath Hain.

The prosecution indicated in the chargesheets that it would be producing 78 witnesses in the cases and annexed 76 documents insupport of the chargesheets, totalling 246 pages.
