India’s Ambassador at the WTO, K.M. Chandrashekar will be the Revenue Secretary taking over from Vineeta Rai who retired today, while Special Secy (Commerce) S.N. Menon is being upgraded in the same department as the new Secy on superannuation of Dipak Chatterjee.

Komal Anand, Secy CAPART, will take over as the Company Affairs Secy, and Secy (Programme Implementation). Manoranjan will be the new Steel Secy. Hari Narayan, Addl Secy (Programme Implementation), is being promoted in place of Manoranjan. Another upgrade is that of A.K. Jain, earlier Addl Secy, as Special Secy, Power. Chandrashekar’s old job at WTO is being given to U.S. Bhatia, currently Joint Secretary in the I&B.
