More heights in Batalik captured
The Army8217;s victory march continued today with the recovery of Point 5287, a strategic height overlooking a Pakistan camp in Indian territory, Point 4927 and three adjoining positions. At least 15 Pak intruders, including Pak Army regulars, were killed in last night8217;s operations.

Ex-city student dies in Kargil
Captain Vikram Batra of 13 Jamp;K Rifles, who paved the way for the ultimate capture of Tiger Hill last week, laid down his life fighting at the Kargil front, according to a report reaching here. Hailing from Palampur, 25-year Capt Batra has spent his student days in the city when as a student of the local D.A.V. College in Sector 10, he did his graduation here. He was promoted as Captain only last week.
