SC constitution bench to hear EC petition The Supreme Court today refused to grant any interim relief on the Election Commission8217;s petition seeking enforcement of its 8220;controversial8221; ban on publication of exit and opinion polls during the mid-term elections but posted it for hearing on Tuesday before a constitution bench.
When the petition was mentioned before a three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice A. S. Anand this afternoon, the court wanted to know as to how the EC could ask the court to give a direction to the government to enforce the guidelines.
