Cheating case against petrol pump
On the basis of a complaint lodged by Sanjeev Khirwar, SDM (East), the police have registered a case of cheating against Malhotra and Company, a petrol pump in Sector 19, for allegedly overcharging consumers, last night.

Theft case reported
Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Sector 44, reported to the police that Mona, a Sector 45 resident, entered a jhuggi in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Colony and committed theft. The police have registered a case of trespass under Section 448 of the IPC.

Assaulters held
Kamala Chopra, a resident of Sector 7, reported to the police that Sukhwant Singh Sukha, Satwant Singh and Ashok Kumar, forcibly entered her house and assaulted her, last evening. The woman added in her complaint that she was threatened with dire consequences. Police sources said while Ashok Kumar managed to escape, Sukhwant Singh and Satwant Singh were arrested. The police have registered a case under Sections 452, 506, 323 and 34 of the IPC.

Electronic goods stolen
S S Saini, a resident of Sector 29, reported to the police that someone stole electronic goods and electronic appliances, including Rs 2,500 cash. The police have registered a case of burglary under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC.

Scooter stolen
Liyakat Ali Khan, a resident of Sector 20, reported to the police that his scooter CH-01-N-9776 was stolen from the Sector 17 market. The police have registered a case.
