CHANDIGARH, June 14: The result of the Class X All India Secondary School Examination for the Chandigarh region will be declared tomorrow.The Chandigarh region includes affiliated schools of the Board from the Union Territory of Chandigarh and the states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab According to the Controller of Examinations, K.D.Sharma the overall pass percentage of Chandigarh region for Class X examination has seen a marginal fall - from 77.19 per cent last year to 76. 87 per cent this year.CBSE has advised students to collect their results from their respective institutions of study after 11 a.m., while the schools have been advised to collect their results after production of a letter of authority from the District Education Officer, Chandigarh. Schools from outside Chandigarh have been asked to confirm the availability of result from the person in charge of the nodal centre tomorrow after 12 p.m.According to the information available, 712 schools of Chandigarh region presented their candidates, out of which 65 are government schools run by the Chandigarh Administration, 103 Kendriya Vidyalayas and 48 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. 50,282 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 28,449 were boys and 21,833 were girls.The pass percentage of boys for the Chandigarh region is 75.36 per cent, whereas it is 78.84 per cent for girls. The pass per centage of government schools of Chandigarh is 79.93 per cent, while Kendriya Vidyalayas have a pass per centage of 72.12 per cent. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of the region have a pass percentage of 81.35 per cent while the pass percentage of independent schools is 87.50 per cent.
