MUMBAI, JUNE 23: The raids by the CBI on offices and residences of customs officers of the Air Cargo Complex (ACC), Sahar airport on Thursday revealed that one preventive officer, CP Omar, allegedly owns property worth Rs 17 lakh.
While he has three flats in Mumbai, other landed property is located in Kerala and Pune, all of these being prima facie, disproportionate to his known sources of income. The CBI conducted raids on the ACC following the registration of a case against two firms owned by one Capt CDN Singh for alleged fake exports of ladies’ garments. The officers of the ACC are under CBI inquiry for their alleged involvement in clearing the goods.
