JAIPUR, May 1: It was a case in which a police officer displayed rare promptness in solving a theft8217; 8211; what if there was no case at all! It all began when SI Prahlad Singh spent some time in the police control room with ASI Ramesh Chandra. While leaving, Prahlad took Chandra8217;s wireless set. When Chandra noticed that his set was missing, he interrogated the youth who supplied tea, suspecting him of having stolen the set.

The scared youth confessed to the theft but before Chandra could proceed further, Prahlad came in with the truth and the set.
