Car-makers respond to DGFT notice

NEW DELHI, NOV 22: A majority of joint car ventures have responded to the notice sent by the director general of foreign trade DGFT to furnish details on automobile kits imported by them.

quot;We have received replies from most of them joint venture car-makers,quot; DGFT N N Lakhanpal said. Details of manufacturers who had not responded to the notice were, however, not available.

The DGFT had sent notices during the second week of October to all joint car ventures, including Maruti Udyog Limited MUL, to furnish details of import contents.
