Or the first time in the 50-year history of Dr HD Kanga Cricket League, the Division One runners-up will receive a trophy. Till last year, only the champions were awarded pennants.

The trophy has been donated by Kunda Kadam in memory of her husband Sitaram V Kadam, former joint-secretary of the Mumbai Cricket Association MCA.The first recepient of this trophy will be MB Union who were tied for top spot of Division I with MIG CC. But the latter were declared winners on a better run-quotient.

Sherry, Mahajan tops

Ankur Mahajan and Sherry R Crawford bagged the sub-junior boys8217; and girls8217; titles, respectively, in the P JHindu Gymkhana Open Ranking table tennis tournament at the Gymkhana8217;s premises, today.

Mahajan beat Kalpesh Mohite 21-17, 21-12, 21-16 and Sherry defeated Manasi Bhagwat 21-18, 21-12, 19-21, 21-7.
