MUMBAI, JANUARY 22: Cricket fans are likely to miss the remaining tri-nation one-day contest underway in Australia as cable operators in the city blanked out the live telecast due to double-fold increase in subscription charges by Prime Sports-ESPN management.
Star-ESPN combine was charging Rs 7.50 per connection from the operators, but on Friday, they announced a double fold increase of Rs 15 per connection. The operators association waited till the India-Pakistan match at Hobart and then switched off both ESPN and Prime Sports channels. The first round of talks failed on Friday.
