Shirish Jadhav, owner of the United Agency authorised dealer for Hero Honda Motorcycles has been invited by the parent company to visit some of the Honda Company manufacturing and marketing facilities in Japan and Australia on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Honda.

He will be observing the latest models of Honda Motor company and also study customer preferences in Japan, Austraila and Singapore during the 14 day tour.

Chitnis reappointed
Krishnakant Madan Chitnis has been reappointed as assistant general manager of Ratnakar Bank for two years for 1998-99 and 1999-2000.

After working in the officers cadre of a nationalised bank for 30 years, he has been working as assistant general manager in Ratnakar Bank. He also received a scholarship on Institute of World Affairs, USA for research on financial management.

Easy Care shirt
The Siyaram Silk Mills has introduced the Oxemberg product range. The product range comprises of formal and casual shirts, informal and formal trousers and jeans wear in the middle and high segment.

The company has now launched the Easy Care’ shirts made from premium fabric. The shirts are crumple-resistant and require minimum ironing. This will be followed by the launch of Easy Care’ trousers.

Heartbeat
Heartbeat, a unique heart shaped ice-cream bar , the first of its kind in India has been launched by Dinshaw’s Dairy Foods, the Nagpur based ice-cream manufacturer.

IIE membership
The president of the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCAI) Prataprao Pawar has been conferred the membership of the Institute of Industrial Engineering (IIE). The membership was conferred at the hands of Raghunath Maehelkar, director general of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
