Boy kills father for abusing sisters

MUMBAI, August 26: A 22-year-old was arrested by the Mulund police for murdering his 55-year-old father who sexually abused his three daughters According to police, Deepak Shirsat, who lived at Azad Nagar, Mulund E lodged a complaint against his father Shravan, who he hit on the head with a heavy object as the family slept between 12.30 am and 2.30 am. After sustained interrogation, Deepak confessed that he had killed his father.

According to Ravindra Kedari, deputy commissioner of police Zone-VI, Shravan was a worker at Ruby Mills. A drunkard, he would beat his wife, Deepak told the police. After the death of Deepak8217;s mother six months ago, Shravan began sexually abusing his three daughters aged 17, 19 and 21.

8220;Deepak8217;s sisters have confirmed the abuse,8221; said Kedari, adding that their statements have also been recorded. Deepak has been charged with murder.
