BANGALORE, July 20: A border area festival organised by the Karnataka Government in a bid to preserve the culture of border areas of the State evoked good response in Baguru village of Hoskote Taluk. The area borders Tamil Nadu and but is dominated by Telugu-speaking people. Performances of folk art, a literary seminar, an entertainment programme highlighting the history and culture of Karnataka and a felicitation of freedom fighters from the region all formed part of the festivities.
