With the topline facing a decline, textile major Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Co Ltd today posted a 72.58 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 7.21 crore for the quarter ended December 31, against Rs 26.30 crore for the same quarter last year. The total income net of excise decreased 56.51 per cent to Rs 119.02 crore from Rs 273.71 crore. Analysts said the company faced a squeeze in margins in the quarter.
