Assuming that the UPA Government at the Centre would not complete its term owing to its differences with the Left, the BJP has asked its cadres to gear up for Assembly elections.

A two-day state executive committee meeting of the BJP at Aurangabad that concluded on Tuesday took stock of the prevailing political situation in the country and drew up plans to expose the Government for its failure, including its faulty policies.

Talking to reporters after the meet, senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu said the truce between the Left parties and the Congress was only temporary and that very soon the country would see elections. He also highlighted how the Government had compromised the interest of the country while trying to toe the US line regarding the Indo-US deal
