MAINPURI, AUGUST 30: BJP candidate from Farukhabad constituency and former Rajya Sabha member Rambaksh Verma and three of his supporters were injured when a mob indulged in firing and stone throwing at them during campaigning here today.
District collector Vijay Saxena said here that Verma and his supporters were campaigning in Shivapalpur village this afternoon when some people first indulged in stone throwing at their procession and then fired bullets at them.
Verma has alleged that that the attackers were supporters of former BJP M P Sakshi Maharaj, who is contesting as an independent in these elections.
