
Tatas allowed to make Analgin
NEW DELHI: THE Supreme Court on Thursday allowed Tata Pharma to manufacture banned drug Analgin only for export purpose but directed it to comply with the strict conditions imposed by the Government. Modifying an earlier ban order of the apex court, it cautioned the company that the manufactured fixed dosage combinations of Analgin should not in any manner be used, sold or disposed.
LIC Housing Finance interest rate
MUMBAI: LIC Housing Finance has announced reduction of interest rate by one per cent to 13.5 per cent from 14.5 per cent applicable to individual housing loans in the range of Rs 5,00,001 to Rs 10,00,000, effective from September 13.
HOC sales rise in first five months
MUMBAI: Hindustan Organic Chemicals sales volume has risen to 76,581 mt during the first five months of the current financial year, from 74518 mt during the same period last year. Its production during the period has increased to 1,05,433 mt from 1,03,244 mt.

Indian entries for Webby awards
MUMBAI: The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences has announced it will accept Indian entries for the fourth Webby Awards to be held in March 2000. The Webby Awards are given in 22 categories for sites which are judged on the basis of content, structure and functionality among others.
Two new categories will also feature this time 8211; personal website and activism, according to a release issued by LA Promotions, an event management company.
